About Bioworks

Richard Schoenfeld founded BioWorks Consulting to provide services to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. He specializes in the development and manufacturing of proteins by mammalian cell culture. Dr. Schoenfeld has nearly thirty years of practical industrial experience and has been part of the development, manufacturing and management teams of several companies with successfully marketed products. This background brings both a depth and a diversity of practical experience to many projects.

Dr. Schoenfeld has design and operations experience for clinical manufacturing and pilot operations as well as commercial manufacturing for proteins made by mammalian cell culture. This experience ranges from laboratory scale to commercial antibody production and perfusion operations through 5000 liters. His experience also includes batch, fed-batch and perfusion methods.
